***Also Beginning in 2024, we will again allow customers to place up to 3 deposits on puppies to help increase your odds of getting the puppy you want. For example, people looking for a puppy ASAP, or an all black puppy which are harder to come by, in the past we have allowed multiple deposits to be placed to help spread out the odds of success for bringing their desired puppy home in a timely manner. Then, once a puppy is born that meets your criteria, you can release your hold on the other litter(s) and move those deposits payments towards your remaining balance due on your puppy. So there is no money lost for you, and it helps increase your odds of success. Its a win win! Some people just want a puppy from a particular litter and dont mind which gender they bring home, so thats another great example of placing extra deposits in case the Dam produces way more of one gender than the other. We want to help you get your desired puppy! Please contact us with any questions or to place multiple deposits.
We have now opened all litters for 2025 and some already for 2026 for reservations!

*****On April 23rd 2022, Krieghund Farm suffered a horrendous and tragic loss. A neighbor not far from us purposely lit a burn pit in their backyard, and did not cover the pit with water or dirt despite having those things nearby. On Saturday the 23rd, the winds were in excess of 60mph. We had a severely dry winter and due to the low humidity and high winds, both our area and surrounding areas have been in a no burn ban and red flag warnings for sometime. Officials had our area of the country listed in an "Extreme Severe Drought". We had more red flag warning in the early months of 2022 than all the several years prior combined. We had 3 Red Flag Warnings in the 9 days leading up to our fire! No one should have been burning anything in that weather, let alone trees. Its common knowledge that even young dried trees can continue to burn for many weeks, and mature trees can burn for weeks and even months. That didnt matter to our neighbors, they ignored all the signs and warnings and lit that match anyways.
Around 1pm the wind pulled embers out of the still burning and wide open pit and spread to the surrounding crop field. It spread literally like wildfire and shortly thereafter our entire farm was engulfed. A neighbor not farm from us lost their entire home as well. 5500 acres were burned up that day before the almost THIRTY fire depts who responded could get it under control. We had almost no warning, the only call we received was from a dear friend warning us to get out. We rushed to save as many animals as we could, but there was so little time. We had a 4 year old child with us, and I had to take her to safety as our entire property line was instantly a wall of flames and coming into our farm fast. Its really hard to try to describe the deep level of fear we felt in these moments, for our safety, for our dogs safety, and for our beloved neighbors.
One of our family members, a Veteran, stayed behind to try to get as many dogs out as they could while the other hurried to get the child and a few dogs away from the fire. The high winds were just too much without any firetrucks available and the flames spread over all the buildings in a heartbeat. The smoke from our neighbors farm burning to the ground was so bad, the firetrucks couldn't even see to get to us, so they had to go around the back way and we lost precious time because of it. Between the two of us, we were able to save 9 dogs. But to our absolute heartbreak, we lost more than we could save. Our hearts are forever broken over the loss of our beautiful dogs. These were dogs we raised from their very first breaths. Dogs who followed us everywhere we went, snuggled with our kids, so much love/laughter/fun, they were truly family to us. The pain is indescribable...
The firefighters didn't arrive until all the buildings and equipment were already completely on fire. They wouldn't even enter the property for some time because the fire was so bad from the wind feeding it oxygen. No one should have been burning under such extreme drought and wind conditions like we had that spring! That match should never have been lit. The complete lack of regard for the safety of their neighbors lives and livelihood is chilling.
One family member sustained serious burns all over their body, both legs, both arms, head, face, neck, and particulary their ears had skin melting off of them. This was only due to their attempts to save our precious dogs. We never even attempted to save any of our property, we just tried to get our dogs out.
We, without any prewarning to prepare for fire, sacrificed everything we have ever owned to this fire. Our home and business was a complete and total loss. The foundation is crumbling, thats how bad the fire was. There is nothing recovered from our home. Its all beyond burned. The windows and aluminum ladders all melted, to give you an idea of how bad this was. Our fire safes all melted through, some of them were not even recognizable afterwards, which is extreme. All of our valuables, keepsakes, baby books and memorabilia, photos, electronics, SD cards, money, collectibles, clothing, toys, etc etc. Its all gone. We walked away literally with the clothes on our backs and 9 dogs, and one vehicle that I we used to get the young child and some dogs to safety. We ran past our expensive truck, car, tractor, skid loader, golf cart, farm machines, etc, we left them in the path of the fire because we were focused on our dogs. I fled knowing I was leaving behind not only all of our nest egg, and not only my dogs whom are like children to us, but I also had to drive away leaving a family member in the fire. No one can understand how bad this fire was unless you watched it. Seeing the pictures is heartbreaking, but seeing it in person is traumatic for most who have come by since it happened. We have grown men crying at the sight of our beautiful farm now looking like someone dropped a nuclear bomb on it. We had 18 buildings on our property and only 3 remain, and those were far from the fire/wind path.
The death and destruction we have suffered at the hands of someone else's negligence has been indescribably devastating. We are utterly heartbroken in every way. We will never be the same people we once were. We can rebuild, but we will never get our families beautiful dogs and cats back. There is nothing anyone can do to fix that heartache. But, we sincerely implore each of you, please spread our sad story, in hopes that no one ever again makes such a reckless choice that affects innocent people and animals. We are so very grateful for each and every one of you who was there to help us whether it was donated used clothes for our kids, meals, things as simple as a charge cord for a phone, we literally went from 10 of everything known to man, to nothing in a short period of time. We could never have rebuilt without the love and help of all of you (you all know who you are, such angels!). The people who SHOULD have done something after them causing all of this devastation have not yet EVER offered any help to us. They even slammed the door in our face when we came to them after weeks of waiting for them to do the right thing! We were totally homeless (with children and 9 dogs), penniless, destitute, utterly heartbroken, all due to THEIR negligence and they slammed the door in our face and called the authorities to report us for trespassing.... thats the kind of people who did this to our family, 2 legged and 4 legged. Our trial is finally this fall. Please keep us in your prayers and positive thoughts, we will absolutely need them. We will never be made truly whole again, but justice can send a strong message to the kind of people who purposely burn during Fire Watchs and Red Flag Warnings. The damage has been done, sadly it continues for us every single day. We cant bring back what was the most important to us. But a just judgement would at least remove the severe financial stress these people have forced onto us. We could rebuild to the same standards we had BEFORE the fire destroyed our decades of hard work and labor of love. We have faith that justice will be served!
We suffered so many losses, and one massive issue is we lost multiple entire bloodlines we have worked so hard for.
Again, thank you all for your love and support during our very dire time of need! Bless you ALL!
